USER GRAPHICS

It is impossible to give more than a very brief selection of examples of the different output reports and graphics that GiAPA data permits. If you wonder whether a report or chart is available or can be made, just remember that GiAPA keeps performance data for all jobs every 15 seconds.

Below we have selected a few more examples, mainly “User defined graphics” meaning that the user selected the key and data fields to be presented.

Below chart shows highest Disk usage (System ASP %) per day in February

This stacked column chart shows CPU usage per hour (01 – 06 in the morning) for 3 groups of users, being the night batch jobs running for France, Italy ands Spain. Total CPU seconds do not differ very much.

But a similar chart, here stacked bars, for the disk I/Os shows that France uses much more !?

The line chart below was made to see how much CPU was used by an LPAR, which was known to have too little CPU assigned, but which could “borrow” from other LPARs if necessary. The user definition for the graph asked for Max and Avg CPU % per hour of a given day.

And should you want something quite different, then it just takes a mouse click to export a set of graphics input data to Excel (assuming you have Excel installed on your PC).
